If I asked you which foods tempt you, doubtless they would not be ones that are awfully healthy. I bet they’d be ice cream, potato chips, pizza, or something along those lines. In reality in your mind’s eye at this time as you are reading, you are most probably deliberating about a food that’s unhealthy. Well, are not you? Stop for a second and think about it.. The point I am going to make in this post is you can change what you covet by changing how you believe. Each new customer that comes to my office for weight loss has a craving problem. But I do not see it as a problem. I see it as a solution. Longings are over-rated. They’re hodge-podge and we do not need to be controlled by them. We don’t have to feel temped by ice cream, cookies or 20-ounce prime ribs. Instead, we will be capable of being enticed by water melon, pineapple, oranges or apples ; foods like that.
Think that sounds stupid? Well it’s not and you’ll see why. When I first sit down and talk with a client about their alkaline eating habits, I gather everything I need to know about exactly what they eat and how they eat.
The guilty party to their weight problem always boils down to nibbling, picking, eating foods that aren’t healthy or simply plain over-eating.
Then I should ask them what veggies and fruit they like. I am yet to come across someone that hates fruit or hates each plant under the sun. Ultimately I could ask them how frequently they eat fruits or veg and it is often a lot less frequently than the unhealthy stuff.
After I have gathered my armoury of data, we do our thing. I should have my clients lay back in my recliner and close their eyes. I can direct their mind to a tranquil place, and within mins they will be relaxed better than before . Then I start talking about their favorite fruits and veg. I could ask them to dream taking a bite of their favorite enticing, ripe fruit and to feel the juices tickling their tastes. I’m going to say to their mind, from this time on anytime you’ve got a hungering for food, you may think about a delicious, ripe piece of fruit. And bingo!!! Next moment these are precisely the types of foods they start requiring. Why? Because whenever you close your peepers and bring yourself to a calm, relaxed place, your unconscious mind appears , and it’s this part of the mind that controls what you covet. Change your thoughts and you’ll change what you covet. Easy. Let’s take a look at this from another viewpoint. Shall we are saying pineapple is your favourite fruit. Now, if you were sitting with me now and I gave you a juicy hunk of it, you want it totally.
And you’d need more, right? Naturally.
Now, let’s imagine I put my hand into my chiller, whipped-out a little bit of chocolate cake and claimed, select one. Probably you would choose the pineapple as you just had a teaser-piece, which would make your intelligence wish more. The reality is this : you like your favorite fruits equally as much as you like your fave fast food, you simply believe otherwise. Again, longings are over-rated. The mere mention of that diabolical word always seems to conjures-up footage of high calorie, greasy foods just because these are the foodstuffs you are most exposed to in our media driven world. Your subconscious gets used to this and just does not know any better. Change your minds pictures and you can change your longings. Here’s a fast five minute mental exercise you can begin doing now to help start revolutionizing the way you wish food. Step one : Find a cosy, quiet place where there are not any diversions. Begin breathing efficiently until you are quite relaxed. Next, count backwards from 10-1, slowly. With each count, imagine that your intelligence is drifting deeper and deeper. Step 2 : After you’ve finished counting, imagine you are relaxing by yourself in your fave place.
An isolated beach or a log in the woods will do the job. Imagine yourself feeling so very relaxed and relaxed. Step three : Next, imagine a basket full of your fave fresh picked fruit sitting right next to you. See it clearly in your mind’s eye, the color, the feel, everything about that fruit. Imagine taking a bite of that mouth-watering fruit and enjoying it more than ever before. Step four : Repeat the following concept to yourself ten times : from now on, whenever I like to think of eating, I right away feel an aching for fruit. Step five : Count from one to five, slowly, and when you reach five open your eyes.
