Where I live there has been a big story about the bottled water scam. It appears up to 47% of bottled water comes straight from the council tap and much comes from polluted artesian springs.

My name is Shelley, I am a 30yr old Mother to a 17mth old girl. When I first stumbled across Activated Liquid Zeolite I was not actually looking to improve my health. Something I would like to share! During our regular Monday night “Toxic World” call there are always stories from several persons who began taking Activated Liquid Zeolite for a specific reason i.e. chronic fatigue, eczema, depression, heavy metal and toxic overload and the list goes on. It was then that I realized my psoriasis on my feet, which I had been suffering from in varying degrees for over four years had completely disappeared. Remarkable!

I was originally introduced to Zeolite in January 2008 when I had shingles which disappeared after only 10 days and for any one who has ever suffered from shingles knows just how painful they are and how difficult to get rid of! When I was better I stopped taking the Zeolite and although I was taking natural supplements and looking after my health, in November 2008 I had a relapse of chronic amoebic liver abscesses that I have been suffering from since 1998.

I was in hospital for a week. I must say I was looked after very well while I was there and have only good things to say about the nurses and doctors who looked after me. I had one abscesses aspirated which did help. I was also receiving antibiotics intravenously for the full week and I’m sure this helped a bit but I was told that I would continue to suffer from these abscesses as there was no real way besides antibiotics to treat them. When I was discharged a week later there were still seven abscesses on my liver. They are all gone thanks to Zeolite and other remarkable products which keep my immune system healthy. But I digress.

Later that evening during our business call several of us were discussing the different reasons we began taking the Zeolite drops and we all agreed that we found other problems that had been with us for sometimes years, were also “going away”! In my case my psoriasis, I can wear open shoes again. I am wearing glasses from five years ago as my new ones are too strong, I bounce out of bed in the mornings and don’t find myself walking round in circles for half an hour before I greet the day. I sleep really well, have lost my “granny belly” no more constipation or diarrhea and generally just feel better all around! What I have changed however is now I work from home, no more fighting traffic and going into the office, my office is now at home and I work the hours that suit my life style. During many years of clinical practice doing Bowen Therapy, I have became increasingly aware of the number of clients presenting with all the symptoms of magnesium deficiency. One of the most common symptoms of low magnesium levels is leg cramps and restless leg syndrome. When doing an initial assessment of a client , the first questions I ask is “do you suffer from cramps?” If the answer is “Yes”, then I know without doubt this person has low magnesium levels. Simple. Usually as we question further, we find further symptoms to verify this conclusion.

Since 99 percent of magnesium resides inside living cells, blood serum levels are not a good indicator of magnesium deficiency. Blood tests for magnesium are notoriously inaccurate. Only 1 percent of the total body magnesium pool exists outside of living cells. In other words, your doctor can’t easily tell you by a blood test if your magnesium levels are low.

Why Is Magnesium Important?

So what is so important about magnesium? It is the most prolific trace mineral in the body. It works hand in hand with calcium, which is why it is so dangerous to take calcium supplements without magnesium. Calcium is the “hardening or constricting ” mineral while magnesium is the “relaxing” mineral. Magnesium relaxes the muscles and feeds the nerves.

Supplementing needs to be done correctly and sadly many practitioners including Doctors are prescribing big doses of calcium and ignoring the importance of its partner in health, magnesium. Thus the dominance of calcium over magnesium produces symptoms of muscle spasm. Migraines, eyelid twitch, heart flutters, back aches, premenstrual tension, leg cramps and constipation are all linked to calcium overload. Excessive calcium may also result in kidney stones and heart valve calcifications (mitral valve.)

Why are we seeing an epidemic of people with all the symptoms of magnesium deficiency?

I believe its a result of a 2 pronged attack on our health and well being, Deficiency and Toxicity.

The number one factor is the unprecedented levels of heavy metals and toxins in the environment which inevitably winds up in our bodies. Most people will have measurable levels of heavy metals. I find heavy metals, like mercury, cadmium, lead, zinc, and copper in the urine excretion tests of almost all I test. These have no safe levels and the body will try to find a way to minimise the harm heavy metals cause to the tissue and organs.

The first line of defence the body takes is to bind a magnesium molecule to a heavy metal molecule to negate the damaging oxidative effect of heavy metal. The body will then excrete the metal along with the magnesium. So people with high levels of heavy metals excrete high levels of magnesium. This leaves in its wake a magnesium deficient body. We don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand this!!

Since the turn of last century, our depleted soils, processed foods and fast food diet lifestyles have led to a steady increase in mineral deficiencies. Nowhere is this more true than in Magnesium.

Without doing this we are only supplementing a poisoned body.
