In recent times there have been many questions raised about the original Zeolite. For the most part this has come from competing companies, people with no Scientific background, and others who were concerned about changes in taste and consistency.

Personally, I have found the product to be always effective, although for a short while it was a little hard to consume.

The Good News About Liquid Zeolite

What About Particle Size?

Another bone of contention over the years has been the actual size of the Zeolite particles. I am not a molecular biologist, and most likely you aren’t either, but the experts say particles over 2.5 microns have difficulty passing into the blood stream to remove toxins at the cellular level.

Now, we can’t vouch for other brands, but now each batch of Natural Cellular Defense, the original Liquid Zeolite is tested for particle size. The latest figures reveal half of the particles are under 2.2 microns, well below the 2.5 micron threshold for entering the blood stream.

I have seen analysis of some other products, and I would suggest you demand independent proof before you try them! Again the Original Liquid Zeolite sets the standard for others to follow!

Is The Product Contaminated

Yet another claim is that the product is contaminated. This comes from some claims made many years ago. I have no idea if there ever was a problem with the product, but now every batch is tested for contaminants and found to be clear. Again, the Original Liquid Zeolite is shown to be clean. This is in line with the special activation process used to greatly increase the surface area and therefore abi9lity to absorb toxins. It is possible to mask contamination by adding other ingredients. The Original Liquid Zeolite has only one main ingredient – Zeolite!

Liquid Zeolite Contains Added Minerals

Over the last 7 years that the Original Liquid Zeolite has been available, there has been a constant effort to further improve effectiveness. It was found that once cleaned, if some vital minerals such as magnesium and calcium were added, they easily exchanged for toxins in the body, providing a small mineral supplementation, while increasing removal of toxins. These are the only extras that come with the original liquid Zeolite.

How Much Is In The Bottle?

You may find some information indicating that there is some doubt as to the amount of Zeolite in the bottle. This came about after an attack from a competing powdered Zeolite company. There was a misunderstanding in that Zeolite in nature is porous and contains water. This gives it a certain weight. When you remove the water, it weighs much less, just like a plastic bottle weighs less with the liquid removed! Some saw this as evidence that there was not enough Zeolite in the product, regardless of the many positive benefits. Late last year, there was a change in manufacturer, resulting in a product which tasted sour for a few months. It was due to adding too much calcium and magnesium and if you have used that product you could taste this.

The result is that the product is now even better than before, and is tested for the amount of Zeolite in the bottle. Now you can see for yourself from independent testing that the “Original Liquid Zeolite” does have the required amount of Zeolite in each bottle.

What Do You Now Think?

The main reason I continue to use only the Original Liquid Zeolite is that it gets results. I have personally benefitted over the last 6 years with reduced dental problems, improved sporting performance, more energy, disappearance of warts, and a whole host of other niggles that were slowing me down. Now I have reached 60, I feel confident to many more years thanks to taking this product. In the few months that the product didn’t taste so good, I did stop taking it and within weeks noticed more muscle stiffness. It reinforces how valuable this product is to maintaining optimum health and slowing aging.

Readers of this site will be well informed of what to look for in a Zeolite product.

There has been a lot of misinformation recently by people who are perhaps not so expert as they claim. When looking at a Zeolite product, here are the main considerations.

 

What To Look For In A Zeolite Product

1. Is it pure Zeolite? Does it have a bunch of additives, or is it just there to take out of your body what is not supposed to be there. In other words, a liquid Zeolite product should have Zeolite and water. Sure, you can have other products with Zeolite in them, and some are very good, but for detoxing, you want a pure liquid Zeolite.
2. Is it micronized? Studies show that in order to enter the blood stream, the Zeolite particle size needs to be between about 0.5 microns and 2.5 microns. Anything less than 0.5 microns is too small, and more than 2.5 microns simply works in the bowel. That is not a bad thing, it is just that all the published Zeolite research uses micronized Zeolite. Natural Cellular Defense has particle size of between 0.8 and 2.6 microns. I am getting a copy of the latest analysis in a few days and will post it for you.
3. Is it cleaned? All Zeolites contain heavy metals and other contaminants in their raw state. Even the north pole has toxins! Cleaning these toxins out of the Zeolite makes it many times more powerful in absorbing them. Most will tell you it is unnecessary. While it is true that toxins contained in Zeolite won’t get into your body and poison you, having the Zeolite full of contaminants greatly reduces its capacity to absorb heavy metals and other toxins.
4. Is There Any Research On The Product? Everyone quotes studies, but is there any on their particular product?

The Activated liquid Zeolite Difference

With 5 years of experience marketing and using Activated Liquid Zeolite, I have seen many cheap imitation products appear. We know that our product is protected by a patent on the process by which the Zeolite cage is cleaned of contaminants, and that this is the advantage we have held over other Zeolite products over this time. What it means is that the amount of toxins and heavy metals the Zeolite absorbs is many times that of Zeolite products that don’t use this process. You can tell who they are as they always claim that their Zeolite is from a pure source and doesn’t need cleansing. Zeolite is designed to absorb toxins, so this simply doesn’t add up.

What The Competition Does

Other companies have simply copied out sales and scientific information onto their websites, claiming that our “expensive” MLM brand is simply designed to rip people off. Wrong again! Cheap is cheap and that is the way it is. In fact, you will find that our product compares favourably with many of our competitors when you weigh up the cost benefit. Some of these companies have approached me to sell their product. Despite promises, to date no one has supplied any Scientific information to me to back their assertions!

Is The Cheapest Of The Cheap The Best Of The Best?

One company in particular sells their product for as little as $11 for a 30 ml bottle. You not only get Zeolite with this, but humic or fulvic acid and a bunch of other minerals. Recently, this company copied the marketing materials for our product and applied it to theirs! I was so concerned about the many people who might not get the full benefit of Zeolite by purchasing their cheap product, I wrote to Rik Deitsch, Pharmacologist, and creator of the original Activated Liquid Zeolite. Below you will see his full response.

If you don’t want to read the whole thing, here is a summary.

• This company copied our marketing materials and applied them to their product.
  
• They now claim their product is micronized and activated with no supporting research
  
• They add so many minerals and acids to the formula it is difficult to tell how much Zeolite is in their product.
  
• They claim their product is backed by clinical research. Rik can’t find any scientific reference to their product, while ours has a peer reviewed study published and 14 clinical trials completed.
  
• They claim we use high heat to cleanse our product, while they now pasteurize theirs to kill contaminants in the humic or fulvic acid. These acids are used to mask the Zeolite so others can’t determine particle size. Many companies use this method.
  
• They claim all the Zeolite gets into the cells. Micronized Zeolite will only enter damaged cells. This is a misleading claim
  
• They claim we use harsh acids to remove contaminants. We do use acids, but they are not harsh. Rik says if this company doesn’t use acids to clean the cage, then it isn’t cleansed! You can’t have it both ways.
  
• With all the minerals added to this formula, the Zeolite will absorb some of them making it less effective for removing toxins in the body.

Here is Rik’s email to me. I asked him to comment on the updated claims on the liquid Zeolite Company’s website.

We’ve responded to this numerous times over the last few years. I went over some of those responses and need to note that they have radically changed their website and views on their product recently. For example, they used to say that their zeolite was so clean that it didn’t need to be activated – now they are simply using all of the Waiora marketing materials and saying that their product is “micronized and activated”. Since they’ve changed the marketing material, I’ll have to obtain some of the product to try and test their claims. There is a problem though – they add so many minerals to the formulation, it’s almost impossible to tell how much actual zeolite is in the product and how much of their mixed fulvic and humic acids are there.

 
 

I’ll go over the website claims and make some comments as necessary:

 
 

• Their first claim is that their product has been “clinically-proven” to remove heavy metals. In a simple literature search of published clinical trials, I could find no reference to their product. The NCD has been the subject of more than 14 clinical trials. While only one has been published in the peer-reviewed medical literature, it is still one more than theirs. The publications on the ncd can be found at www.NCDSupport.com.
• Their claim that, “It is chemical free: Liquid Zeolite is processed without chemicals. Through a natural, proprietary process, concentrated organic humic acid molecules naturally hold zeolite in permanent suspension.” Is interesting in that humic and fulvic acids are generally used by the marketers of inferior zeolite products to mimic micronization. In essence, their larger zeolite particles will normally fall out of solution and simply lay on the bottom of the bottle because their size prevents these particles from staying suspended in solution. The humic and fulvic acids surround the zeolite and allow the particles to stay in suspension. This is a trick. The micronized zeolite in the NCD stays in solution because it is smaller and will more easily maintain itself as a colloidal suspension. Additionally, I have maintained that since humic and fulvic acids are derived from decayed plant material  – ALL humic and fulvic acid will have active bacterial growth. The recent changes to the company’s website indicates that they now “gently pasteurize” their product. In essence, they now boil their solution in an effort to kill bacteria in the humic and fulvic acid that was added for no other reason than to fool the consumer into believing that they have micronized zeolite in their product.
• They claim that “100% of (their zeolite) is carried into the cells”. This is a ridiculous statement and demonstrates how little they understand about the biochemistry of clinoptilolite. Most of the activity of the zeolite is extracellular – removing toxins and heavy metals in solution (blood, lymph, etc..). Only damaged cells with ‘leaky’ membranes could possibly allow for the zeolite to be taken up. As an example, cancerous cells or cells under viral attack tend to allow for greater access through their cell membranes and may allow for the zeolite to get inside the cell. As a rule – we do not want the zeolite inside healthy cells. It’s been shown that when the zeolite gets inside a cell, it may destabilize the cell and induce apoptosis through the upregulation of the P21 tumor suppressor gene. If it is true (and it isn’t) that their zeolite gets into all cells – it would, in fact, damage those cells irreparably.
• They claim that “The multi-level marketing company (MLM brand) uses high-heat treatment methods and harsh chemical reagents such as hydrochloric acid and/or acetic acid in their manufacturing process” I would first argue that they have no idea what our proprietary activation process consists of – they are only trying to spin details that we have given about the process to make us sound dangerous or to discredit us.. They have already admitted to pasteurizing their product which requires high temperatures – probably higher temperatures than we subject our zeolite to. Regardless, the zeolite can withstand VERY high temperatures without effecting it’s structure or function – so any mention of high-heat processes is simply for marketing spin and is ridiculous if you know anything about zeolite chemistry. Additionally, we do utilize natural acids like acetic acid in our process – there’s nothing wrong with that. For the layperson, acetic acid is simply concentrated vinegar. Lastly, the ONLY way to activate the zeolite and remove intrinsic heavy metals from the zeolite cage is to utilize acids to force cationic exchange. If they aren’t using acids – they aren’t cleaning out their zeolite.

 
 

In essence – this is a “kitchen sink” formula. They add dozens of minerals, humic acids, fulvic acids and DHQ to the zeolite. None of this is necessary to the actual function of the zeolite and may, in fact, reduce the efficacy of the product. As an example; if the zeolite has a high affinity for some of their added minerals, those minerals will take up space in the zeolite – thus preventing the product from removing toxins in the body. They will be blocking the zeolite pores with an abundance of cations and limit its functionality.

 NCD is the only colloidal suspension of clinoptilolite that is truly micronized, activated and the subject of published clinical studies. With over 5 million bottles sold into the marketplace and thousands of testimonials, every other product is a me-too knockoff.

Thousands of years ago, volcanoes rose from the sea, dividing continents, creating mountains and forming much of the land as we know it.

As these volcanoes erupted, molten lava and thick ash poured into the sea. The combination of thick ash and the salt from the sea caused a chemical reaction, and over thousands of years, precious minerals like zeolites began to form in the hardened lava.

For centuries, the powdered forms of specific zeolites have been used as traditional remedies throughout Asia to promote overall health and well being. Zeolites are natural volcanic minerals with an unique, complex crystalline structure. Information On Activated Liquid Zeolite By Rik Deitsch

Activated Liquid Zeolite was the first available liquid zeolite in the world. It is the only micronized and activated zeolite and the only product to complete third-party clinical studies.

Waiora’s success with Activated Liquid Zeolite has led to many inferior ‘me-too’ products – some of which are dangerous. One of the first competitive products was taken off the market because it contained humic acid that gave consumers aflatoxicosis – causing liver failure.

Activated Liquid Zeolite is safe, effective and clinically proven.

The Activated Liquid Zeolite is a colloidal suspension of natural zeolite in water.

This means that the zeolite particles are micronized (broken down physically to around one micron cages) and suspended in ultra-purified water. The water aids the process of cation exchange and further stabilizes the zeolite.

Understand that natural zeolites contain an abundance of toxic compounds that they absorb from the environment (heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, etc.). The Activated Liquid Zeolite undergoes an ‘activation process’ that forces the removal of all these toxins. Our proprietary activation process removes all extraneous metals and empties out the zeolite cage – therefore removing any toxins that were found with the zeolite and ‘activating’ the molecule to be at its most effective.

The zeolite molecule is, for all practical purposes, indestructible. Heat up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit will not crack the molecule and it can be frozen in solution and defrosted without any change in activity. It is also amphoteric – meaning that it exists just as well in an acidic or a basic environment. We activate the zeolite in a very weak, natural acid under high temperature conditions. This does not break the zeolite down; it simply forces the evacuation of stored toxins in the zeolite cage. The only thing left in solution after activation is the micronized zeolite and some larger metals that remain in solution. These are: calcium, sodium, magnesium and potassium. These healthy metals migrate back into the zeolite and help stabilize the molecule. After ingestion, they easily undergo cationic exchange with metals that are higher in the affinity scale of the zeolite (i.e. Mercury, Lead, Cadmium, etc.)

Without this process, other zeolite products must contain toxins and heavy metals as part of the zeolite cage. Additionally, without a heat process or some preservative, they contain bacterial and fungal contamination.

Some imposters will tell you that there is no need to clean out their zeolite because it is so pure. This is completely false. All zeolites contain heavy metals and volatile organic compounds. There is no pristine environment left on the planet. Zeolites are just too good at attracting and holding toxic metals and compounds. Once a zeolite site is mined, it is also bombarded with the diesel exhaust and other contaminants from the mining process. Without an activation process, zeolite contains these toxins (as all others do). The humic acid is added to inferior zeolite products because it helps keep the larger zeolite particles in solution – otherwise, they would all fall to the bottom of the bottle. Activated Liquid Zeolite doesn’t have that issue because we micronize the zeolite so that the average cage size is 1 micron.

Many competitors go on about their ‘state of the art energy technology’ as other companies have touted their ‘structured water’ and ‘frequency enhancement’ – - none of which makes any scientific sense or is able to be proven in any clinical environment. They also state that their zeolite “penetrates cell walls”. People do not have ‘cell walls’ – only plants and bacteria have cell walls – people have ‘cell membranes.

Some things you should know about the zeolites on the market:

• Without our manufacturing process, you cannot remove the inherent metals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from clinoptilolite deposits. Our process took over two years to develop. This process is proprietary and exclusive to Waiora. Nobody else is making a product like this.
  
• Without a heat process, or some kind of preservative, zeolites will certainly experience growth of fungus and bacteria (especially with humic acid)
  

All of the imposter products contain simple powdered zeolite spiked with humic acid to make up the difference. That’s why they come in 1oz bottles. Remember that humic acid is actually decayed and decaying plant material (humus). Humic and fulvic acid are known to grow bacteria and fungi. Another zeolite product that came out in early 2006 sent several people to the hospital with liver issues from aflatoxin-producing fungus found in the humic acid added to the zeolite.
